Employment Insurance (EI) Sickness Benefit

If you are employed in insurable employment, have accumulated at least 600 hours of insurable employment, your normal weekly earnings have been reduced by more than 40% and you are unable to work because an injury or illness, you may be eligible for up to 15 weeks of the EI Sickness Benefit. WCB

If you were seriously injured at work, WCB may pay for assistance in personal care support in order to live at home, including wound care, bathing, dressing, homemaking and transportation. This may be available for temporary or permanent in-home care. See the Alberta WCB website for more information
