One of the most common sentiments voiced by those with a terminal illness is the desire to die in their own home, surrounded by family in a familiar, comfortable setting. We provide a variety of support options to make this possible from our team of health care aide workers to registered nurses.
We offer compassionate personal support to allow the patient to maintain their dignity and leave family free to focus on the patient rather than their care needs. We can assist with comfort measures, personal hygiene, oral care, and mobility. We can also assist with repositioning, gentle stretches, and light massage to promote comfort and help alleviate stiffness and muscle pain, and lower the risk of skin damage from prolonged time in one position. Our experienced palliative care nurses may also provide symptom and pain control, offer advice and advocate for additional measures to promote comfort, and provide teaching and support to walk terminally ill patients and their family through the difficult end-of-life process.
